Tented Eco Lodges november to may
Luxurious Rajasthani hunting tents hang under a bamboo and coconut thatch roof with traditional mud walled living room and open air, en-suite bathroom. Colourful saris drape the elevated palm fringed roofs keeping the lodges cool, with natural cross ventilation and a private veranda with sunset views across the paddy fields where water buffalo and peacocks roam.
Bedroom
Large tent bedrooms are light and airy, lined with hand block printed cotton dressed in rich silks, each lodge a different colour theme corresponding to one of the seven chakras. Village crafted wooden furniture, wall hangings and large comfortable beds with big fluffy pillows, natural silk cushions and bolsters, illuminated throughout with soft solar powered lighting. Beds can be single occupancy, double, twin or triple.
Dressing room
The mud lounge is a cool haven for dressing or relaxing, with arched terracotta windows, thatched roof and a sculpted sofa bed, perfect for shading from the midday sun or for a third person sharing.
Bathroom
Open air bathroom in Indo-Moroccan tadalkt style with high mud walls and mini garden featuring traditional Indian hand bathing from clay urns, a magical experience under the sun or stars. Some lodges have western toilets and some have natural eco composting squat toilets which are odour free, using waste mango woodchips and effective micro-organisms (EM) to return everything back to nature, providing compost for the gardens. Hot solar showers are just a short walk away from each lodge.
Maid Service
Serviced daily with fresh flowers and evening turn down. Natural soaps, towels and robes changed as often as required.
